Why should you get to know chrissiel?

I think I am attractive, intelligent, versatile, vivacious and easy company to be with.
I am independent, I have no ties.
I enjoy cooking and love to experiment with different recipes. Sharing a meal and a bottle of wine at home is one of lifes great pleasures.
I am very practical, I do my own gardening and decorating (when necessary).
I am adventurous( I've recently been on a group holiday exploring Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. Peering into the live crater of Stromboli at night was an unforgettable experience).
I am fit ( On my 50th, I walked up Snowdon the hard way,along Crib Goch!
Comparably, Helvellyn's Striding Edge is a piece of cake!! Done all the three peaks now).
I also run a couple of times a week.
I belong to a golf club and play to a reasonable standard. I was Ladies Captain in 2006.


I wrote this poem as a bit of fun when I was first trying to think of how I would describe myself.

A smile is worth a thousand words,
Not often shall we draw our swords.
A gentleman I should like to meet,
One that may sweep me off my feet!!

I play some golf and this I like,
On Dartmoor wild I love to hike.
A house and garden need my care,
These things at times I would like to share.

A passion for crosswords, cryptic and knowledgeable,
A sudoku or two is likely probable.
Listening to music and reading novels,
These things I enjoy, laying aside troubles.

I've travelled abroad, lived in many countries,
Passports renewed, overflowing with entries!
A father in the forces when I was young,
When older, as a crewmember, such great fun!

An education furthered, later in life,
Brain needing more than mother and wife.
It was back to the books to become a teacher,
A vocation enjoyed, but hard work the main feature!

Life can be great, exciting, fulfilling.
Lots to enjoy, most things are still thrilling.
I am happy with me, but much more besides,
I want to ride on the waves, feel the turn of the tides..........

When you set out on your journey to the island, do you pray that the road is long, full of adventure, full of knowledge?
Will fine emotion touch your spirit and your body?
Arrival, will be your ultimate goal.
However, the voyage must not be hurried, better that it lasts for many years.
Then you will anchor at the island when you are old,
rich with all you have gained along the way.
